It reveals why Asian countries don't have the same rates of prostate disease... and suggests that it could come down to one simple difference in our diet. I've got kind permission to rep ..

13th July 2007 |
I've been writing like a maniac this week. By this I don't mean I've been writing while wearing a giant banana costume and singing the Azerbaijani national anthem. I mean I've been hard at work... on a book. 'A book?' you cry. 'Yes, a book!' I told myself I wouldn't tell you about it UNTIL I had completely finished it, but it's nearly there and I feel pretty proud of myself. It's all about the secret, awesome healing power of.... of... Cracking bit of good news on Tuesday... don't know if you saw it... But a new study, reported in the Journal of Neurology, Neurosurgery and Psychiatry, suggests that drinking coffee can protect your eyesight. Gotu Kola and cures for foot problems |
25th May 2007 |
My friend Dan is an architectural historian. Last Saturday, he invited me to a bizarre event. We learned how to build stuff out of mud. Okay, so it's known in the trade as 'cob'. Or to you and me... We were taught by two artists who have spent the last 10 y ..

Well, weird as it may sound (and don't a LOT of my emails?) this is actually a valid remedy for that most embarrassing of minor ailments: dandruff. And yes, though it may be an odd thing to do, it's actually a good natural remedy that doesn't involve buying yet another boastful brand of overpric ..

The dangerous diabetes drug... |
8th June 2007 |
I think I'm going to start a campaign to get blood pressure warnings attached to every daily newspaper... Something like 'Warning: May make your blood boil' or 'Do not read while eating cornflakes or you are likely to splutter them all over the kitchen table'. Because yet again the Collins household was subjected to me ranting and raving over an article I read in The Times this week. In fact I wouldn't be surprised if Lara is bidding for a tr ..

1st June 2007 |
Sometimes you've got to laugh, or else you'll cry... At least that's how I'd react if I had to try this bizarre antiwrinkle treatment... Gold dust at the bottom of the bird cage Now, I know the antiageing market is big business, and people will try almost anything (and pay almost anything) to look younger. But you'd think they'd draw the line at poo, wouldn't you? Well not the ladies of Knightsbridge, oh no... In order to beat ageing, these ..
